I know considering everything else ( ) this is not so big, but I'm angry at the Crossing Border festival for scheduling all the bands I want to see in the exact same time slot!

So, we all want a replay. Yes, we deserve it, but on the other hand..imagine the amount of appeals are going to made about every little thing after this..every country's gonna be demanding replays. Though in this case, I think we should get it. Not that we will...cos Fifa are idiots and don't want ireland to go to South Africa. It's such a load of bull!

I do not see how you blame Henry for this. I mean.. all football players take advantage of situations like this. He'd be an idiot for turning himself in to the referee.

I'm not blaming him at all! I was just laughing at that page.... I blamed him last night, cos I just had it in my head he was a cheat, but in fairness he was hardly gonna run up to the ref and tell him he handled it. He got away with it, just some people expected better of Henry. He admitted it today however. Said he told the ref afterwards too.

it would have been good of him to turn himself in to the ref... thats the point.. especially because it was so obvious.. In all honesty though if it had happened the other way around would we say the player should have owned up?

Ah I'd say we would. Its just the principle. They have to be played fairly.

If he'd have told the ref they might not have made it South Africa and his boss would have been incredibly upset with him. It's not really about right and wrong, well, it is for us, but they have to win a match for many more reasons than that.

Yea the French fans would never have forgiven him if he did that. It's not his mistake, I bet after he did it he thought they wouldn't have a hope in hell for that goal to be allowed, but of course the ref didn't see. Doesn't stop people losing respect for Henry though

Ah I'd say we would. Its just the principle. They have to be played fairly. I don't mean that he would have owned up there and then, no player would do that. But I mean, if it was the other way around, Irish fans would probably agree the they shouldn't have got the goal

I'm still raging over it! That's why Fifa need to do what rugby does and have the telly match official..
