There seemed to be a large messageboard contingent at this years Indiependence. In an attempt to get a bit of activity back into the messageboard. Any stories? Best band? How were Delos? Setlist? Anyone not come back alive? Good weekend overall? Looked like a great weekend, wish I could have gone

I arrived at around 9.40pm on the Sunday night - saw last 2 songs of Ham Sandwich which were very good and then acquired prime barrier space for Delos! Myself, Aisling, Sarah and Podge did the Hos proud by accessing backstage using our cunning and ingenuity (and taking advantage of a gap in the fence), I got my official Roadie stamp drawn on by Brian and NĂal gave Aisling a basket of fruit thus ensuring their fans don't get scurvy, very thoughtful really As for the Friday, Saturday and early Sunday reports the others will have to supply these...Set List

Anyone see The Coronas? I haven't seen them in yonks but their new album is really growing on me and I'm thinking of going to see them next time they're in Dublin, would it be worth it?

We'll get it eventually! Although I hope it hasn't disappeared like Neon has D:
They seem to have the same setlist for most of these festival dates although it was cut short at one of them (it was possibly at FIB?).

I think this is the longest I haven't logged in Soooo I was supposed to be home from Australia on the Sunday of Indiependence but decided to come home early especially for it! (Not really, we ran out of money ) Sarah was kind enough to buy me a ticket for my birthday So I was there with Sarah, Ethan and our friend Adam. Despite our good intentions of being down for midday, we arrived around 5pm on Friday night after the customary Tesco stop off for booze and snacks and then a rest break in McD's in Cashel...so by the time we walked to the campsite with all our stuff, queued to have our nail varnish and foundation confiscated (anything glass was being taken....thanks to idiots at SHM) and then put up our tent we missed a few I wanted to see - This Club We did manage to see a bit of Bitches with Wolves, Bressie, Jape and Maverick Sabre. Perhaps some Japanese Popstars too? Saturday we saw Soldiers Can't Dance, Overhead the Albatross, Toby Kaar, Royseven and my new favourites We Cut Corners. Might have seen some of 2ManyDjs but like Japanese Popstars I can't remember exactly. Pattern emerging? Sunday was the day we were all excited for, even though in the end we spent most of it in Mitchelstown getting breakfast, going exploring and watching the GAA. The lads were devo Fighting with Wire couldn't make it so we drowned our sorrows in the campsite and just saw Ham Sandwich and the one we'd all been waiting for. The Coronas!Like Margaret said, we acquired some much sought after backstage passes by squeezing through the gap. That fruit basket was very welcome, vitamins are always good when you've been camping for the weekend. All in all banter was had ;D Even got a hug from Danny from the Coronas! Result.
