Exhausted I was not! Actually had a great weekend after all Unfortunately only made it to see 6 bands cause my friends were only there for the campsite craic so I had a hard time dragging them to see bands, in fact ended up on my own for a few of them! I saw Shouting at Planes, Ham Sandwich, Coronas, Miracle Bell, ASIWYFA and Editors. Editors were amazing. First time seeing them live and I'm tempted to go see them on Saturday now too. Ham Sandwich were also incredible, put on a really good show. The campsite was good craic, but we actually slept quite a lot =/ That said I missed the banter that was had with Sarah, Jenni, Aoife and Sexton last year. I'm hoping to go away next summer and I'll actually be really sad that I won't make Indiependence

Great festival so it is! Delighted I decided to go. I thought the sound for the main stage was a bit disappointing though. I slept quite a lot too. In front of the PA in the really small tent while leaning on the railing and while dancing in the havana club haha. You were on your own for some bands? Damn you should have def came up when you saw me and said hi. That's a shame. I should have sent you a tweet or something to let you know I was there. Sorry about that :/ Such good craic though. Not bad for my first festival

Taking about going to see bands on your own, I randomly got talking to this chap who was on his own at The National in oxegen. He was telling me the usual, down with 5/10 drunken mates who only wanted to see Beyonce/BYPs etc ha, so he had abandoned them during most of the day. He was really big into his music, and had all the bands he wanted to see planned out, and by that stage (sunday evening), he had seen close on 40 different acts! What a legend, thats the way to do it! He was so busy going to see random bands that he never got bored, and when you bump into other random fans like myself its going to be better craic then sitting in the tent drinking, wishing you were at whatever band, but your mates arent arsed!
Anyways annoyed I missed Independence, Cork was the bit too far for me for the weekend, but next year!

True enough Timmay! The group of people I went with weren't with me for half the time. Ended up hanging around with other friends of mine I met down there. There's actually loads of gigs I passed up on going to because I had no one to take with me, mostly Delos gigs! I should def get over that though and just start going because I'm sure to bump into ye mad lot!

I was only on my own for Shouting at Planes really, I met people from the campsite at some of the others and managed to drag one of the gang to the rest! And like I said, that time I thought I saw you, I wasn't in the best state to be running. Although I did manage to Irish dance at one point. Oh dear. I'll probably end up heading to gigs on my own now that Jenni's gone. So far I've only been to two but ended up meeting boardies so wasn't alone at all!
