For the weekend that's in it, this is my Delo-board resurrection attempt Only getting to listen fully now so will be back with thoughts. But in the meantime, I was thinking it would be a pretty cool idea to have a roll call of the album numbers for those of us lucky enough to have one of the 147... I was no 71 which interestingly enough was written "seventy one/147" rather than "71/147" - Jenni's 31 was the same... Continue!

I'm 31/147! Loving it, esp home again. 'Tomorrow will be different' is probably my most used phrase this semester.
Damon, we can always pass the cd onto you when we next see you so you can upload it to iTunes

I was 111/147 - which I really love. It must be that all the spelled - out numbers were prepared by one of the Delos gents. I wonder which.
I also wonder if we told them what number we were would they remember if they had done that number or not. Some numbers would stick in your mind, I think.
Still haven't listened yet - went to Cork to see Meltybrains? will have to wait to get back home before I can give it a spin as it were.

Just had my first listen through. An absolute joy to listen to. When other bands do acoustic versions they generally just play the song on acoustics. It's great that the lads put a lot of effort into reworking these songs and released it in a unique package. Ross did a fine job. A lot of character in the album. Inspiring stuff! Thought ye might be interested in reading this excerpt of an interview I did with Ross last year: When we last spoke at the gig in Dolans you mentioned that the acoustic album is ‘live’ sounding. How do you achieve that sound? From the first time a band enters the studio, it is usually drilled into them that everything needs to be polished and perfect. They spend ages recording and rerecording, analyzing, pitch correcting and ironing out all the creases to the point that your recording has absolutely no charm or character. It’s these imperfections that can sometimes make a live performance so special. Keeping this in mind, we completely focused on feel. Which means we used whatever takes felt the best, not just the one that had the least mistakes. Also, we made sure to use plenty of ambient mics to really capture the character of our live room and recorded all our backing vocals as a group, again to try and capture some of the live imperfections that we may have otherwise ironed out.

I was lucky enough to get one of them 76/147, which now keeps filling my wife's hours in Switzerland. We also bought the studio Albums from the web. You guys are awesome, but I'd love to see you playing more often around Dublin, or maybe in a festival in Switzerland over the summer....
